Rescuers Hoist Injured Woman After Car Plunges 30 Feet in Beltsville

Above, view images from Tuesday's rescue of a woman whose car plunged 30 feet from an I-495 offramp in Beltsville.

According to Prince George's County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady, it took firefighters, paramedics, and the PGFD's Technical Rescue Team about 45 minutes to remove the victim using ropes, pulleys, and a Stokes basket.

The victim, a 30-year-old woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Maryland State Police are handling the investigation.
