Robber Hits International Food Market

Police search for man who robbed a Laurel market.

Police in Anne Arundel County are searching for a man who robbed the International Food Market Store earlier this week.

According to police, the theft took place Tuesday just before 3 p.m. along the 3500 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road. Upon arrival, officers spoke with employees who indicated that a male entered the store, approached the cash register and displayed a handgun in his waistband.

The suspect then demanded money from a store employee who turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police. The man then exited the store and fled in a gray sedan, likely a Ford Escort, accompanied by another individual who was in the passenger side of the vehicle, according to police.
