Robbers Strike Laurel Gas Station

Suspects pistol whipped store employee, police said.

Prince George’s County police are looking for two men responsible for robbing an Exxon gas station in West Laurel.

According to police, the incident happened July 6 around 1:07 a.m. along the 15100 block of Sweitzer Lane. Two suspects entered the convenient store and then jumped over the counter, pointed handguns at the victim, and demanded money, according to police. One of the suspects struck the victim in the head with a handgun and forced him to the ground. The suspects fled with an undetermined amount of cash. Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a minor head injury.
