Robbers Strike Maryland City Popeye’s

Two armed men robbed the restaurant Thursday night.

Anne Arundel County Police are searching for two men in the armed robbery of a Popeye’s last night in Maryland City.

According to police, the robbery happened shortly before midnight along the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road. Police responded to calls of a robbery, and were told by an employee that two armed men entered the business and took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing.

Several officers along with a K-9 unit and the aviation unit searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.
