Surging SUV Strikes Man, House in South Laurel

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A man suffered non-life threatening injuries in South Laurel over the weekend when an SUV "surge[d]" into him before crashing into the wall of his house, authorities said.

The incident occurred Sunday afternoon in the 9100 block of Contee Road, according to Prince George's County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady.

The man was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, Brady tweeted. The home sustained cosmetic damage but remains structurally sound.
