Two Killed, Two Injured in Multiple Prince George's Car Crashes

Three separate car accidents Wednesday night in Prince George's County killed two people and injured two others.

Two people were killed and a pedestrian hit by a car was critically injured overnight in three car accidents in Prince George's County.

The first crash occurred late Wednesday night near 8603 Contee Road in Laurel, reports WJLA TV. Two vehicles collided and the impact threw one driver out of his car and trapped the other driver inside the vehicle. One man was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A woman was also taken to the hospital, where she is listed in serious condition.

A second crash happened in Mount Rainier at the intersection of Rhode Island Avenue and 38th Street. A man injured in the single-car accident was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The third, non-fatal crash, occurred along the 5900 block of St. Barnabas Road in Oxon Hill, near the entrance to the Capital Beltway. The victim, a pedestrian, was struck by a vehicle and then taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. 

Police said the driver remained on the scene following the crash.
