Witness Tails Stolen Car, Leading to Arrest of Laurel Man

Police said the vehicle was stolen from a Maryland City gas station.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Laurel man Sunday afternoon after a witness tailed a stolen vehicle and assisted police in locating the suspect.

Around 1 p.m., police responded to a gas station in the 3600 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road in Maryland City for a report of a stolen vehicle. En route to the scene, police learned the suspect was traveling eastbound on Route 32.

According to police, a citizen who saw the theft tailed the stolen vehicle to Bluewater Boulevard. A police officer pulled the vehicle over at Bluewater Boulevard and Briar Ridge Lane without incident.

Police arrested Travis Lamar Greenfield, 21, of Laurel and charged him with theft, unlawful taking of a vehicle, and unauthorized removal of property. Court records also show Greenfield was charged with driving on a suspended license.
