Woman Carjacked at Gunpoint in Maryland City

Authorities are seeking two suspects involved in an armed carjacking at Corridor Marketplace.

Anne Arundel County police are seeking information on two suspects involved in an armed carjacking that took place Wednesday afternoon at Corridor Marketplace in Maryland City.

Shortly after 3 p.m., as a 53-year-old woman was loading bags into her vehicle, a man reportedly approached her, displayed a handgun, and demanded her purse. The woman complied, and the suspect entered the driver's side door as another suspect entered the passenger's side door.

The suspects drove away from the scene, and the victim was left uninjured, according to police.

Police issued a description of the suspects and vehicle to patrols, but no arrests have been announced.

Due to the active investigation, police have not made the vehicle decription public and are not releasing additional details at this time.
