Amid Heat Wave, Laurel Extends Pool Hours
Hours at pools within the city of Laurel will be extended through Friday.
With a heat advisory in throughout the region until this evening, Laurel will extend the hours of city pools till 9 p.m. through Friday.
Mayor Craig A. Moe announced today that during the current heat wave, both the Laurel Municipal Pool and the Greenview Drive Pool will remain open until 9:00 p.m.
It is anticipated that the extended hours will be in effect Thursday and Friday as the weather should cool over the weekend. For additional information, please contact the Laurel Department of Parks and Recreation at 301-725-7800.
