City Cooling Center Open Until Evening
City of Laurel extends hours for cooling center.
As the sweltering summer rolls on, the City of Laurel has again opened a cooling center and extended pool hours.
Mayor Craig A. Moe has announced today that a cooling center will be open at the until 9:00 p.m. Due to the high temperatures and humidity, the armory was chosen because it is equipped with two lounge areas, large TV screens and gaming systems. Hours at city pools also have been extended at the Greenview Drive Pool and Municipal Pool, which are open until 8:00 p.m.
