City Moves Closer to Annexation

Expansions top agenda for tonight's council meeting.

The City of Laurel is about to become a little larger.

 Council members will meet at 7 p.m. in the to discuss the annexation of about 60 acres just outside the city in Prince George’s County that’s currently owned by the state highway administration.

The council will also be looking to amend sections of its election laws that include making elections in Laurel more orderly and timely. Click here to check out tonight’s full agenda.
