City of Laurel to Hold Spring Cleanup

Debris collection will be increased during month of April.

The City of Laurel is encouraging residents to join in during its Spring Cleanup month.

Mayor Craig A. Moe announced that the city has designated April as its annual cleanup campaign month to encourage and assist Laurel citizens in removing accumulated trash and sprucing up the appearance of the city’s neighborhoods and streets. 

The city will increase the yard debris collection service to every Monday and Wednesday during the month of April.  Arrangements for yard debris collection can be made by calling the Department of Public Works at 301-725-0088 or by e-mail:  dpw@laurel.md.us.

The deadline for scheduling a Monday pickup is the end of the day Thursday. The deadline for scheduling a Wednesday pickup is the end of the day Monday. 

The city will be waiving the $10 base fee for bulk pickups for two weeks in April to the first 200 residents per week that schedule a bulk pickup. The dates will be April 4 and April 18. No other weeks are being offered with the base fee waived. The deadline for scheduling a Wednesday pickup is the end of the day Monday.
