Is the City of Laurel about to get a little larger?
Annexation of new property and the top agenda items for tonight’s Laurel Council work session meeting.
Council members will meet at 7p.m. in the to discuss the possible annexation of about 60 acres just outside the city in Prince George’s County that’s currently owned by the state highway administration.
Council members will also press forward to discuss the redevelopment of the old police headquarters building at 36 Municipal Square into the C Streets Flat, a mixed-use development that would include residential and commercial space. The project is part of a larger plan to revitalize Laurel’s Main Street corridor.
