Laurel Holds City Hall In The Park

Laurel's City Hall came a little closer to the people this week with the first City Hall in The Park event.

The city of Laurel took city hall to the streets this week--literally.

The city held its first City Hall in the Park event Wednesday. Mayor Craig Moe said that he encourages all area residents to attend to hear about their local government and its activities, and to meet the city’s elected officials and senior staff.

During the informal meeting with residents, Moe spoke of several issues concerning and affecting the residents in Laurel. A hot topic was plans for Emancipation Park and the new library.
