Laurel Hosting Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event Saturday

City residents and businesses can bring items by the Public Works Facility from 8 a.m. to noon.

The City of Laurel is set to hold a free electronics and paper shredding event this Saturday, Oct. 13 at from 8 a.m. to noon at the Public Works Facility (305-307 First St.).

City residents and businesses can bring their unwanted electronics to be recycled, including:

  • computer monitors
  • CPUs
  • CD/DVD/VCR players
  • radios
  • printers
  • keyboards
  • televisions

Document destruction company Office Shredding will be on hand dispose of sensitive paper materials. The city will also have a receptacle to discard cardboard boxes and other recyclable containers.

Laurel residents are required to show proof of residency, and local businesses must confirm their city location.
