Update: Road Closures in Prince George's County

A list of the roads closed due to Hurricane Sandy.

Although Hurricane Sandy has been downgraded to a post-tropical storm, she left damage in her path, including downed trees and wires and damage to homes.

Prince George's County officials are asking for folks to stay off the roadways Tuesday, but with Metro, MARC and TheBus closed, if someone needs to get to work, they will have to drive.

The following roads are closed in Prince George's County due to storm related damage, flooding or outages, according to county officials:

County Roads:

  •  Governor’s Bridge Road (Bowie)
  • Buck Lane (Upper Marlboro)
  • Marlboro Race Track Road (Upper Marlboro) – closed at MD 725 opened from Equestrian Center Service Road to MNCPPC facility (Early Voting location) and Prince George’s County Soil Conservation Office. (Detour signs posted.)
