Snow Vehicles Deployed in Prince George's County

County vehicles will be working through midnight to ensure roadways are clear.

The Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation rolled out 128 snow vehicles this afternoon as a result of the snow-fueled forcast, according to a release.

The vehicles are deployed throughout the county to ensure that roadways are treated, as required, to keep them clear of snow and ice.  Workers will remain remain on-call and are available to report to work should it become necessary for them to do so.    

To assist road crews in keeping roadways clear, officials are requesting that residents:

  • Move and keep vehicles off snow emergency routes
  • Park in driveways or other off-road locations wherever possible
  • Park only on the EVEN-NUMBERED sides of streets
