The solar and geothermal tax credit, aimed to help Howard County homeowners purchase and install renewable energy systems, became so popular that residents wanting to take advantage of it had to be put on a waiting list. The board of education passed a new transportation plan to save Carroll County $1.2 million. The plan will eliminate up to 40 bus drivers, requiring some buses to change their routes and some schools to change their start and end times.
