Wanted: Laurel City Council Member

Looking to break into local politics? Just so happens the City of Laurel is looking for a new council member.

The City of Laurel is looking for one good council member.

Prompted by the resignation of Councilwoman Gayle W. Snyder (Ward 1), the city has put out a want ad to replace Synder once she vacates her seat June 1.

The city has been a bit fuzzy on what exactly it is looking for in a council member but that hasn't stopped  it from sending out want ads.  Interested applicants shouldn't quit their day jobs, though. The pay for a council member is $7,500 a year.  The remaining council members will vet potential applicants.
