UPDATE: Favorite St. Patrick's Day Spot Chosen

Readers picked their favorite spot for St. Patrick's Day.

UPDATE

The people have spoken.

And while it was a close race to choose where your favorite spot in Laurel for St. Patrick's Day is, Hooters took the crown capturing 60 percent of the vote. Sullivan's, a late entry in the contest, had been leading the pack most of the week but a last minute push by Hooters fans stole its thunder. The irish pub came in second, caputring just over 36 percent of the vote.

See the results below.

Our Readers' Choice contest continues this week with a hunt for the best place to spent St. Patrick's Day. Who has the best bar in town?

Here are some of our favorite places, but if we're leaving anyone off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

If your business is listed here, learn how to claim your listing for free on Patch by .

We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

So tell us which is your favorite place for St. Patrick's Day spot. And don't forget to tell us why in the comments below.

you did not put Sullivan's on this list. Sullivan's is by far the best place for St. Patty's Day.

Sullivan's is the best place for your St. Patty's Day dinner.

Sullivan' s will have super DJ, all kinds of specials, and the Dave DeMarco Band in the evening, no cover. I'm sure there will be lots of U2, Van Morrison and Thin Lizzy in the set. Best band to hit Laurel since the old California Inn days!

Hooters? Really? Do the chicks paint their hooters green or something? Sullivan’s is an Irish name and has shepherd’s pie and corned beef and cabbage.
