Self-Empowerment Workshop for Girls

Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center is presenting “Girls Can Do Anything,” a self-empowerment, self- esteem and self-confidence workshop on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the North Laurel-Savage Multiservice Center, 9900 Washington Blvd., Suite I, Laurel, MD 20723. 

Small group topics may include self-empowerment, conflict resolution, dressing for success, self-esteem, confidence building, communications skills, peer pressure and other issues.  Participants are limited to 12.  Call 410-880-5917 to register.

Grassroots provides the county’s only emergency shelter and 24-hour crisis intervention services. Professional crisis counselors staff its 24-hour hotline; see walk-in clients in need of immediate counseling; operate the Mobile Crisis Team, which responds to community emergencies; and manage the county's emergency shelter program for homeless men, women and families.
