Honor Roll at Kansas, Wells College Dean's List: Laurel College Standouts

Below, find a roundup of the latest honors, degrees, and noteworthy accomplishments from Laurel-area students in higher education. Descriptions are courtesy of the institutions named and/or students' family members. 

The College of New Jersey: Philip Dakum, a Junior Digital Arts major and a resident of Laurel, has earned the esteemed honor of placement on the Dean's List at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) for the spring 2013 semester. To achieve this honor, a student must carry 12 or more credits that semester and have a 3.5 grade point average or above.

University of Kansas: Approximately 4,450 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas earned honor roll distinction for the spring 2013 semester, including Alexander Pendleton, of Laurel. Pendleton is a senior studying biology. He was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The students, from KU's Lawrence campus and the schools of allied health and nursing in Kansas City, Kan., represent 96 of 105 Kansas counties, 41 other states and the District of Columbia, and 43 other countries.

Wells College: Colleen Willis of Laurel (class of 2014) was named to the Wells College Dean's List for the spring 2013 semester. The Dean's List consists of students who earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for at least 12 hours of coursework in a given semester. Colleen is majoring in sociology/anthropology with a concentration in sociology and is a graduate of Saint Timothy's School.
