UPDATE: Prince George's After-School Activities Canceled Due to Weather

Much of the region was blanketed Monday by heavy, wet snow.

Update, 12:51 p.m.: All after-school and evening activities at Prince George's County Public Schools have been canceled due to today's inclement weather.

Original article: Prince George's County Public Schools are operating under a two-hour delay Monday thanks to a burst of wet, heavy snow that blanketed much of the region overnight.

Emergency personnel still must report on time, according to school officials.

The following schedule changes are also in effect:

  • There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
  • No half-day Pre-K, ECC.
  • Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will not have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center
  • No field trips except for students at the Academy of Health Sciences at PGCC
  • Food Services will offer breakfast.
