Jones was asked to perform on the program after his charisma and dance moves were on display during and following the Ravens' Super Bowl victory in February.

Jones did "the squirrel" during the Super Bowl, and again during the team's celebration in Baltimore—paying homage to retiring linebacker Ray Lewis, whose signature entrance to M&T Bank Stadium included the dance.
