The New Feminine Side of Business Takes Maryland

A local 2 Day Women’s Expo

The United States Census Bureau predicts that by the year 2025, the percentage of women entrepreneurship will increase to over 55%. With the shift of business ownership from the masculine to the feminine the way in which business is conducted will be reshaped. The 2012 Women’s Expo National Conference is the largest event in our area focusing the changing future of business, commerce and entrepreneurism.

The 2012 Women’s Expo National Conference is a two day business networking and educational event featuring over 100 exhibitors and seminars by 9 internationally renowned speakers.

Participants can also take part in dozens of workshops featuring expert advice from top industry professionals and prominent CEO’s on business startup, marketing, image, social media and much more.

This event takes place on

March 17th and 18th from 10a.m. to 4p.m. at the UMUC Inn and Conference Center by Marriott, located at the University of Maryland University College, 3501 University Blvd. East, Adelphi, MD 20783.

“With over 9 million female business owners in the US alone the need to explore and embrace a new cooperative capitalism is greater than ever before” explains Patricia Anderson of the Women’s Expo Forum. “On Saturday we explore the spiritual side of business ownership with internationally acclaimed author, lecturer and humanitarian Marianne Williamson speaking on Being the Change in Your Own Life. And on Sunday we have assembled the foremost internationally renowned speakers on the topics of starting your own business, marketing & branding, finance, social media and the physiological side of business.”

Though the Women’s Expo Forum allows all entrepreneurs access to the newest technologies and insights for starting and growing your business in a new feminine based environment, there are several events during the weekend that were created for the typical DC area woman in mind. On Saturday evening there will be a networking event using the new popular SNAP method of meeting those who can help you in anything from finding a service provider to finding a job. On Sunday there will be a full Women’s Expo with over 100 business, beauty, wellness and fashion companies showcasing to attendees. The Baltimore Fashion Week Organization will have a section devoted to the latest fashions and Miss Black America will be there speaking to women about how she built took her passion and made it her life.

With so much in one weekend you might ask “who should attend?” And that’s simple any woman who wants the inside scoop on other women - their products, services and businesses - that are changing the way we conduct business from day to day. From consumer to business woman – there is an inspiring story waiting to be found.
