Adopt-A-Whopper Tops Weekend Things To Do

Here is a look at what's happening in Laurel during the weekend.

It’s looking to be another busy weekend in Laurel as a plethora of events are crowding the schedule.

The City of Laurel will be continuing its summer concert series at the Granville Gude Park Stage. Tonight, the Lonesome Ryder Band will jam to modern country hits mixed in with some classic and southern rock from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Friends of the Patuxent will hold their on Saturday at 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. the Patuxent Wildlife Visitor Center. The event will feature symbolic adoptions of the whopping crane as well as informational sessions.

The Laurel Mill Playhouse opening tonight at 8 p.m. Performances will run through Aug. 19
