Godless Government Is Bad Government
Fellow blogger on this site William Thomas Capps Jr. says he believes "government cannot run a country based on any religious theology." Well, our Founders --- the overwhelming majority of whom were Christians and members of various church denominations --- believed differently. As they explain in the Declaration of Independence: Our unalienable rights come from a "Creator" God and it is the very purpose of government to protect these God-given rights. Indeed, it is Godless government that does not work --- like the government we have now.
