Laurel Museum preserves the history of a nearly 200-year-old community. Starting as a home for grist-mill workers in the 1840s, the building took on many faces over the years, until 1996, when it was opened to the public as a museum.

Admission is free, and exhibits change over the course of the year. There is a research library inside the museum with books and photographs related to the history of Laurel. There is also a gift shop inside.
