Not surprised. 20-somethings today have no conscience. Their priorities are just to have fun allRead More the time. And if something gets in their way, they'll find a way to remove it. Kill babies, parents, whoever. They don't need a reason either. This monster needs to be hanged.
Kevin April 18, 2014 at 04:22 pm
I hope there is a special place in Hell being prepared for this vermin like cretin.
Nicky Maibok Lorkhaiaarn April 18, 2014 at 04:35 pm
What a shock!! I've just read a Korean killed his kid for the game. When I read this news, IRead More believe it's time to set some limitation. Should we force the game manufacturer to set the auto shut-off after a period? BTW, the other Christmas, my bro-in-law played non-stop grand theft. After a period he felt he had enough of pizza delivery and want to get some fresh. So, he went out. What do you know, he passed the car in front using the counter-lane! Fortunately, there was no passing car. He told us that his brain was probably still in the game mode. Anyone knows where we could start pushing the game limitation idea?

This animal needs to be caged for 20 years.
Kevin April 18, 2014 at 04:24 pm
This lowlife should be put down like a rabid skunk.

I hope the young man who got bit by Mr. Worthington's teeth (rusty Nails), gets a tetnus shot realRead More quick. A human bite is very dirty, and judging from Mr. Worthington's scruff, it doesn't look like he brushes his teeth very often!

The Halloween shooting back in 2009, a seemingly slam dunk case, remains unsolved. Also, severalRead More botched SWAT raids leaving 3 family dogs dead were on his watch. Good riddance, loser.

I SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH WHAT HE SAID. MORE JUDGES SHOULD BE AS NICE.
Melissa Wilfenger April 18, 2014 at 03:54 pm
Kudos to the judge! Most criminals don't get what they deserve anymore.

Hey Joe,I bet you'd hit that,eh slick?

Thank you Gary. I wish there were more reasonable people like you. I'm repulsed by theRead More increasingly "gimme" mentality of Americans. The post World War II generation took nothing for granted and everyone took personal responsibility for their livelihood. Sadly, that's not true today. And today's kids are growing up with parents (and a society) that perpetuates the "what's in it for me?" mentality. Incidentally, while I have been working my business for the past 6 years, my neighbor across the street was without a job for 2 years. While collecting unemployment, he filled his wall with video games, drank everyday, smoked, tattood his arms, and just sat in his livingroom playing video games. This is an able bodied, 36 year old man with 3 kids. Well, I have 3 kids too, and a mortgage, utilities, healthcare bills, etc. you name it (and that's not including the business expenses). And guess what I paid in self-employment taxes? HALF of my income!! So while I'm working 60 hours a week, he's sitting on his ass. And in the end, I have to fund his living expenses through exorbitant taxes. I never again want to hear anyone say the rich is not fair to the poor. I am by no means rich. But if I ever become rich under this system (which is unfair to ME) then I damn well deserve to get where I am. At that point, I will gladly be generous to the poor, but not the lazy poor. "If a man (able bodied) shall not work, neither shall he eat" I appreciate what my husband said once "Even if I have to scrub toilets, I will never choose not to work"

I agree with MG42. POTUS is set for life. Former Presidents rake in millions long after they'veRead More served. How do you know the CEO's of private companies aren't giving much of their income away? But it sounds like Fran wants to take it away by force.
CeeCee April 18, 2014 at 03:43 pm
PEOPLE...there are 300,000 people in our neighboring state who still can't drink their water as theRead More result of a CEO "sitting on his ass" making arbitrary decisions or ignoring obligations to the community and regarding all of US as nothing more than collateral damage. And paying taxes? LOL, as if. There was a time in this country (1950s-60s) when small businesses didn't make their owners rich, but fulfilled and happy; and big businesses paid taxes and their CEOs made only 30 times more than the average salary of the company employees. CEOs can have a great idea 24/7/365 but very few are responsible for bringing it to fruition ALL BY THEMSELVES! Businesses were set up to be economic entities beholden to the communities they operate in and serve. Instead wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony--the seven deadly sins--which are also exhibited in some of the comments above and sure to follow--have turned our country as well as our planet into a trash heap making US scavengers, ruthless, destitute, vile and/or sad.

tom g >> having cafeteria personell actually do work at any federal site is a bigRead More misunderstanding, didn't you know/read about that? lowering payroll cost's by handing the job/effort off to the customer has been going on since 'self serve/checkout' started. but notice, they can afford a GS 10 security guy to wander around most of the time just watching and waiting for these heinous transgressors.
joebanana April 18, 2014 at 03:03 pm
Just what "federal" law is it that this person is being extorted over? And shouldn't aRead More sign be posted warning that "drink refills" are a federal crime?

Bryan Harz April 18, 2014 at 01:51 pm
I have a smart meter, and it looks to me like the advantages of improving the grid with newRead More technology to make it more dynamic, plus reducing the amount of utility vehicles on the road to manually read the meters far outweighs the cons. We have wi-fi, cellular, and microwaves all in our homes, so why worry about a little RF outside of the home? And why is privacy a concern? It's just data about the energy you are using.
Bryan Harz April 18, 2014 at 01:52 pm
I agree they shouldn't charge people for refusing, and Sharon made the best suggestion to check yourRead More bill and don't be afraid to ask questions.

A horse and carriage ride in a park, fine. But not on busy, crowded city streets. It's cruel to theRead More horse and dangerous to everyone else. I'm with the NYC mayor on this one.
