Burglary, Indecent Exposure: Howard County Crime Roundup

Columbia  Residential burglary According to Howard County Police, a man entered a home on the 7400 block of Setting Sun Way on Feb. 2 at about 7:45 p.m. through an unlocked door. The resident asked the man to leave several times, police said, and he eventually did. Nothing was reported stolen. Police later received a call from the Corner Stable Restaurant on the 8600 block of Guilford Road for a man who was taking his clothes off and urinating. The description matched that of the man from the Setting Sun Way. The 25-year-old Columbia man was arrested and charged with burglary, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.  Laurel Robbery A man had just withdrawn money at an ATM and was getting out of his car on the 9000 block of Canterbury …

Suspect Throws Coffee During Exxon Robbery: Crime Roundup

Columbia Commercial Robbery Police say two men entered the Exxon on the 8200 block of Snowden River Parkway at about 3 a.m. on Jan. 4, one threw hot coffee at the clerk’s face while the other went behind the counter and stole money from the register. The clerk told police that one of the men had a shiny object in his hand. Both men left on foot.  Police describe the suspects as two black men, one wearing a puffy blue coat and black pants, the other wearing a mask, a black jacket and black pants. Burglary/attempted burglary  Police say someone reported the front door had been kicked in at a vacant residence on the 5600 block of Tricross Drive on Jan. 3. Laurel Police Blotter: Thieves Chase Down Teens at Laurel Mall

The following information was supplied by the Laurel Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Laurel Police are looking for two males responsible for the robbery of a 14-year-old at Laurel Mall on Sept. 27. The incident happened along the 14700 block of Baltimore Avenue. According to police, the teen was walking with a friend when they noticed two young men following them as they exited Laurel Mall. The victim walked inside a furniture store in an attempt to evade the subjects but they entered the store as well. According to police, the suspects told the victim to give them everything he had. When the victim told the suspects he did not have anything, they reached into his pocket and took his iPod touch media player. The suspects fled the scene, according to police. Three Suspects, Two Robberies: Howard County Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Laurel: Robbery A victim was walking on U.S. Route 1 on Sept. 9 when three suspects got out of a vehicle and asked for money. When the victim said he didn’t have any, the suspects assaulted him. The victim was able to escape and went to a nearby business to call police. Police found the suspects’ vehicle nearby and two occupants were arrested. There is no description of the third suspect. Charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery: Laurel: Robbery On Sept. 9, a victim was walking on Glen Ridge Drive when three unknown suspects confronted him, displayed a knife and demanded money. The victim ran away and, after a brief chase, the suspects stopped following him. Police are investigating whether this incident is related to the …

Laurel Police Blotter: Armed Gas Station Robber Nabs Loot, Cigarettes

The following arrest information was supplied by the Laurel Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Laurel Police continue to investigate an armed robbery at the Crown Gas Station. The incident happened along the 14900 block of Baltimore Avenue on Aug. 8.  According to police, a man entered the station displaying a handgun and demanded money and cigarettes. Police said the suspect fled the station with money and 10 boxes of Newport cigarettes. No injuries were reported, according to police. Laurel Police Blotter: Men Sought in Subway, Bank of America Robberies

The following arrest information was supplied by the Laurel Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Laurel Police continue to search for two men responsible for a spat of robberies in two different incidents last week. According to police, the first incident happened Aug. 2 along the 7400 block of Van Dusen Road. Police responded to a call of an armed robbery at the Subway Store. The suspect was wearing gloves and displayed what the employee believed was a black gun, and demanded money. He then jumped the counter and went behind the counter to take the money. Police did not say how the man fled the scene or if anyone in the store was injured. The second incident happened along Aug. 4  along the  9600 block Fort Meade Road. Laurel Police Blotter: Armed Gunmen Sought in Teen Robbery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Laurel Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Laurel Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a group of teenagers at gunpoint. The incident happened July 22 along the 500 block of Green Hill Avenue. According to police, a 16-year-old, 13-year-old, and 14-year-old were walking along the street when two men jumped from behind a van and pointed a gun at the 16-year old and demanded money. One of the suspects then frisked the 16-year-old and took an iPhone 3GS. The second suspect took a pink and white bag and a Monopoly game from the 13-year-old, and a green and blue backpack from the 14-year-old.
