The following academic honors and degrees were recently earned by students from Laurel (as reported by their schools and family members): Bowie State University: Numerous Laurel-area students were named to Bowie State University's Dean's List for outstanding academic accomplishments in the fall 2012 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must be enrolled full-time in a degree program and earn a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale in regular, graded courses.
