Frank Alan Klukosky, 43, pled guilty in March to filming a 13-year-old girl in states of undress.
A Laurel man was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday on charges of producing child pornography, prosecutors said. Frank Alan Klukosky, 43, received the sentence from Chief U.S. District Judge Deborah K. Chasanow in Greenbelt. Klukosky also faces lifetime supervised release and must register as a sex offender. According to Klukosky's plea agreement, in June 2012, a federal probation officer found pornographic images and videos depicting children on the cell phone of a registered sex offender who had been in contact with Klukosky. Laurel authorities have created multiple strategies to bring awareness and regulation to pedestrian safety.
There has been a decline in pedestrian accidents in the city of Laurel since 2007, which can be attributed to a combination of changes in enforcement and general traffic safety awareness, officials said. To address these incidents, the Laurel Police Department has utilized educational campaigns, stricter enforcement, improvements to pedestrian visibility and installments of speed and red light cameras, according to Richard McLaughlin, Laurel’s Chief of Police. “We’re treading into new territory,” McLaughlin said. “Obviously it’s an awareness that is practiced by the pedestrians and the vehicle operators also.” Much of the scenarios in pedestrian accidents involved people who didn’t wait for the traffic light to turn red or who didn’t use …

After an extensive search, police discovered that the girl had spent the night at her school.
Authorities say Jeanne Bioj, a 9-year-old Laurel girl who was reported missing Tuesday night, has been found safe and sound after an extensive search. According to Laurel spokesman Pete Piringer, Bioj was found by a detective around 7:30 a.m. in the cafeteria of Scotchtown Hills Elementary, where she is a fourth grader. Family notified Laurel police that she was missing around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Piringer said, prompting police to deploy significant resources. Authorities worked through the night contacting friends and famiy and searching the area. Bloohounds were sent into action, and a scent trail was located on Millbrook Lane. From the Laurel Police Department: The Laurel Police Department is seeking assistance identifying the suspect in the attached surveillance photos. On May 7, 2013, at approximately 2:15 pm, the suspect entered the BB&T Bank, 380 Main Street, and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The suspect is described as a black male, thin build, approximately 6’0’’, with mustache and goatee, wearing black-rimmed glasses and dark clothing. The suspect left in an unknown direction. Anyone with information as to the identity of the suspect is encouraged to call the Laurel Police Department at 301-498-0092.

Prosecutors said Larry Poole, 50, admitted to possessing explicit images of girls under 14.
A Laurel man pled guilty to receiving child pornography Monday at U.S. District Court in Greenbelt, prosecutors said. Larry Poole, 50, admitted to accepting explicit images of girls under 14 on his computer and phone, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland. As described in his plea agreement, prosecutors said Child Protective Services received a report on June 11, 2012 that Poole "was sending text messages claiming to be molesting an unidentified nine year old girl." Officials referred the matter to Laurel Police Department, which was reportedly unable to locate any child in Poole's neighborhood matching the description in his texts.
