UPDATE: Flood Watch Lifted for Laurel Area

Rain is expected to continue into the evening hours.

Update, 3:21 p.m.:  A flood watch issued earlier in the day for Laurel and the surrounding region has been canceled. More rain is still expected through this evening. Original article: Laurel and much of the region will be under a flood watch Tuesday afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service reports. The watch goes into effect at 3 p.m. Rain is forecast to begin around noon and continue overnight. Between one and two inches of rainfall are expected by day's end, with temperatures ranging from the low- to mid-40s. Winds may pick up too, with gusts in the low 20 mph range. Patchy fog is likely between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. More rain is possible Wednesday, mostly before 1 p.m. Expect cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid-50s during …
