Baysox Help 16 Local Families with Holiday Program

Boxes of food, warm clothing and toys were donated to families in need.

Louie’s Holiday Hope Project, the Bowie Baysox baseball team's program to help local families in need, helped 16 families during the 2012 holiday season, according to a news release. Partnering with the Prince George’s County Fire Department (PGFD), the Bowie Police Department and Bowie Youth & Family Services, the Baysox and the team mascot, Louie, were able to provide the families, which included 39 children, with food, coats and Christmas gifts. “Louie’s Holiday Hope Project had another very successful year of assisting families in need around the holidays,” said Baysox Marketing Director Brandan Kaiser. “Every year this program grows thanks to the great support from the community and all the donations we receive.
