Man Uses Cell to Scare Off Burglar: Crime Roundup

  Columbia Commercial Robbery  An employee cleaning up after closing at Zips Dry Cleaners on Nov. 9 at about 9:30 p.m. was returning to the store after taking the trash out when he was confronted by a masked, armed man, according to police. The man brought him to the office where another employee was being detained by a second armed, masked man, according to police. The burglars tied the two men up with sip ties, took their wallets and two cash boxes from the store, according to police. One of the wallets was found near Broken Land Parkway and Snowden River Parkway.
