Three Teens Robbed: Crime Roundup

Columbia Commercial burglary A week and a half after two employees at Zips Dry Cleaners on the 10700 block of Little Patuxent Parkway were tied up and robbed at gunpoint, the business was again targeted by criminals, according to police. On Nov. 20 at about 10:45 p.m., police responded to an alarm at the business. When they arrive, officers found the business secure. Video surveillance, however, showed two people trying to pry open a door to the business using a crowbar. The suspects left when they could not open the door. Police say a man walked into Performance Bicycle on the 6400 block of Dobbin Road at about 11 a.m. on Nov. 21 and took a bicycle without paying for it. Sub-Freezing Nights and one Rainy Day: Week Ahead in Weather

Here's a look at the week's forecast courtesy of the National Weather Service.

Here comes that pre-winter chill. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will reach just the high-40s today with clear, sunny skies. Temperatures will drop to the mid-30s today and rain is likely late tonight and early Tuesday morning. Rain -- and maybe some snow -- is expected to continue through Tuesday morning, when temperatures reach the low-40s. Expect cloudy skies Tuesday night and below-freezing temperatures, dropping to the high-20s. The sun should shine Wednesday, and temperatures will reach the mid-40s. Wednesday night skies will stay clear, and temperatures again go sub-freezing, dropping to the high-20s. Balcony-Climbing Burglar: Crime Roundup

The following information was supplied by the Howard County Police Department.

  Columbia School burglary Someone entered the construction area of Atholton High School between Nov. 15 and Nov. 16 according to police. The burglars got in through a temporary fence and stole copper wiring and piping from an addition to the school, damaging the building, according to police. Electric tools were also reported stolen from unlocked toolboxes. Residential burglary Police say that someone pried off a kitchen window screen to a home on the 6100 block of Good Hunter’s Ride sometime between Nov. 14 and Nov. 16. The burglar entered through the window, which was unlocked and stole jewelry, cash, a laptop and a pillowcase, according to police.
