Two drivers transported to shock trauma after weekend collision on Route 32 in Savage.
Two drivers were seriously injured in a head-on collision Saturday night in the eastbound lane of Route 32. A 2004 Toyota Scion was heading the wrong way on Route 32 west of Route 1 in Savage when it collided with a 1999 Toyota Camry. Both drivers were transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The driver of the Scion, Jose I. Romero, 34, of Baltimore, was listed in serious but stable condition at shock trauma. The 27-year-old driver of the Camry, Regan A. Murphy, of New York City, is also in serious but stable condition, said police. Neither car had passengers, according to police. Fulton Assault - Looney's Pub Approximately eight to 10 people assaulted a man, leaving him unconscious during a fight outside Looney's Pub near the 8100 block of Maple Lawn Blvd. The victim was reportedly leaving the bar in his car around 2 a.m. after a brief altercation with a man, when the man pulled him out of his vehicle where he was assualted by the group. During the fight, the victim's wallet, car keys and vehicle were stolen, although the car was brought back. The group of men escaped in two cars before police arrived, but one man was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, carjacking, two counts of theft, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and unauthorized removal of property. The venue is not charging a cover for the night, and there will be a handful of drink specials on the menu. In addition, partygoers will be treated to a beer toast at midnight. Savage: Suspects stole about 60 cartons of cigarettes from the 2 Go Convenience Store on the 9000 block of Washington Boulevard in Savage, according to police. The suspects twisted the front-door lock to get in. Columbia: Police are looking for two men after a reported armed robbery on the 6100 block of Old Dobbin Lane. According to police, a victim and two others approached an officer in the parking lot of Columbia Crossing II on Oct. 31 at about 7:15 p.m. The victim said two men with black handguns tried to take his cell phone. While they were talking to the officer, the victim and one of his friends said they saw two men who were with the suspects before the robbery.
