Hello! Tuesday, August 2 is National Night Out. I'm hosting the official Historic Ellicott City Block Party, one of nineteen registered block parties that night throughout Howard County. It starts at 7pm. Food, Drink, Bands, DJs, dancing, mingling, the County Exec and Council are supposed to stop by, as well as McGruff the Crime Dog, HCPD Mobile Command Center... and everyone else who likes good fun and friendly company. 8186 Main Street.

Note I wrote to one of your food editors. Good info/approach/practice for all your Patchers, I do believe:
Hi, Kim. Glad am I to see more content and perspective rising about about our lovely li'l patch of the world. I've yet to make it to Yama Sushi myself. I'd like to encourage you (and others writing restaurant reviews in The Patch) to get to know your local bloggers and to cross-link content. For example HowChow is a great place for you to post *your* reviews. And it's good community-building to include links to his writing, http://howchow.blogspot.com/2010/04/yama-sushi-yogi-castle-and-smokin-hot.html . Apparently, for Yama Sushi, Hoco Rising also has a review, http://hocorising.blogspot.com/2010/03/yama-sushi-in-dorsey-search.html
I think you'll find a welcoming group of people in The Hoco blogging scene; many of whom will appreciate the links and return the favor. Check out http://hocoblogs.com/food/ too.
