Erin is a student journalist for Patch in her senior year at the University of Maryland. She was born and raised in New Jersey but has fallen in love with the state of Maryland. Erin is a journalism major with a special interest in sports. After her freshmen year, she interned with the sports section of The Trentonian and most recently, she interned with USA Today Sports. Erin also studied abroad in Salzburg, Austria. She studied Global Media Literacy and stayed in the home where The Sound of Music was filmed.

Erin is also a senior staff writer at The Diamondback, the University of Maryland's independent student newspaper. She has worked there for four years and has covered everything from crime to wrestling.

Although Erin's specialty is in sports, Erin is also interested in news. She is looking forward to a semester of reporting in Laurel and is always looking to cover a wide variety of stories.
