The second suspect was described as a 5’5” black male with short, black hair, brown eyes, an average build, and a gold tooth.
The victim suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment, police said.
Investigators believe the robbery is related to three others that occurred over the past week in the vicinity of Tall Oaks Apartments:
- On Saturday, Aug. 10, a delivery driver was struck on the head from behind and robbed while exiting an apartment building in the 100 block of Easton South. The suspects reportedly fled toward Tall Oaks Apartments. The victim was unable to provide a detailed description of the robbers, but he told police one of them had dreadlocks.
- On Thursday, Aug. 8, three people were robbed in the 200 block of Federalsburg South by two men wielding handguns. Police said the suspects in that case, described as males between the ages of 16 and 19, also fled toward Tall Oaks Apartments.
- On Wednesday, Aug. 7, a Papa John's pizza delivery driver told police he was approached by five males—two of them armed with handguns—in the 3400 block of Chiswell Road. They made off with "several items of property and an undisclosed amount of cash," the victim reported.
In response to the robberies, Anne Arundel County police say they've stepped up patrols in the area and that detectives are following up on leads.
"Please be aware of your surroundings," the department urged. "If you see anything suspicious, call 911 right away."
Anyone with information on these robberies is asked to call the Western District Detective Unit at 410-222-6155.
